Learn More about Garibaldi Lake

Among the plethora of national and provincial parks in British Columbia, Canada, it is not easy to make a choice.

Located about twenty kilometres from the Olympic town of Whistler, discover Garibaldi Lake, perched at an altitude of about 1500 metres. Surrounded by mountains and glaciers, this sublime lake lies in a fascinating natural setting.
Garibaldi Lake, with its clear blue water, is also not far from Vancouver.

These paradisiacal landscapes with a turquoise coloured lake are worth the climb. Indeed, if you are a hiker, a lover of wide open spaces and nature, Garibaldi Lake is made for you. But before admiring these breathtaking landscapes and bathing in the lake, you will have to climb the 9 kilometres of trail in the forest with about 1000 meters of difference in altitude.

The path to get there is just as breathtaking as the destination. You will pass through beautiful forests, undergrowth on the mountainside with huge old trees.

For the brave, it is possible to camp around the lake and spend several nights there. Why brave? You'll have to carry all your camping gear up and down the lake, which can be a bit tricky.

The idyllic view of Lake Garibaldi from the top is definitely worth the effort, so don't hesitate.
